Does the kind wind hear your words?
Does the blue sky shed its tear for you?
I whispered, gently to the earth
'Grant my wish'
---
"Please... Wake up..." cried the woman, as if pleading for her life.
A beast, twice larger than any man, shackled in front of a fair young lady, forces itself to move with vicious intent. Being a creature borne from a curse, what lied before the lady was once man, and her dear.
"Gustaf... Please..."
As there was almost no hope of breaking the curse, the woman hears a way, from a gypsy, of this:
"Reason does not calm any beast. Only by calming its heart by a soothing melody can you undo the spell"
It was no simple task. To make a beast listen, it has to be subdued and captured. And thus, the beast, once timid, was eventually pursued by those who wish to slay it, believing that the beast brought misfortune to those near it, and would give fame to those who kills. It was by fortune's grace that it had eventually been trapped, and then chained, by the woman.
Does your heart ache with sorrow...
As much as mine?
Do you remember? I promised
"To the ends, together, with you"
---
The woman 's voice grew hoarse as tears flew down her face. Fatigue of worry shows from her physique, as the beast relentlessly jittered the chains that bound him. His jaws, wide open, preparing for the time he regains mobility.
"stop this already, Raeisse'," her brother pleaded. "I can't let you suffer any more for this man... He's..!" he said, as he grabbed her shoulder.
Raeisse' did not heed her brother's hearken. Instead, it heartened her, as it only fed her concern rather than pity, for her and Gustaf.
The cold of winter doesn't even compare
To a day without you in my side
Like days when we were kids
Don't you remember that, my dearest?
---
"Daemion... You wouldn't understand. You haven't had the chance yet..." said Raeisse', as she glanced at him with her gentle, tearful eyes.
Water trickled down the boy's eyes. His intention was gallant, and yet, young. He looked down, faltered to utter another word. Instead, he clenched his fist, and grit his teeth. It was the first time that he had felt hate and spite for the two, and yet he could not, for how dear they are.
At one glance, the beast seemed exasperated. The mere presence of humans haunts him, reminding the pains of bolts, blades, and scars. The song did not seem to have any effect. The intensity of his rage slowly loosened that which bound him as Raeisse' sang in front of him.
Oh, but don't you remember
You never gave up on anything
But the time that we swore to each other
So please, come back to me
---
The intensity of the beast's increasing force had concerned Daemion. He immediately gathered the remaining hunters and have them each crossbows and bolts. They prepared for the worst.
"Daemion, should he be freed from his bind, please..." said Raeisse', printing a smile on her face as the music went on.
"A moment with him, for the very last time..." she tightly grasped her chest.
"I promised him that I would stay by his side, forever"
Daemion nodded. "I understand". His heart was set to what may or may not happen.
Tears fell down every witness' eyes, as their fate unfolds before them.
