This week, I tried to explore the art of theater plays. I was tasked to take a lead role in our -seemingly- profitable play. Although I only lasted three days, it was quite an experience. I was taught to change my way of speaking, my form, my movements, and even my posture (that of which I'm really not proud of).
Even though the training was rigorous and hard, it will all eventually pay off when you do finish it [many thanks to Mr.Bear and the Miss student director, they're good teachers]. To be seen in center-stage, with those dazzling lights, and hearing the audience's reactions makes all the work really pay-off. And if all goes well, you could be given another role in another theater play, or if you're really good, you'd be discovered by organizations that deals with actors!
Sadly, this onlooker couldn't handle all that training and pressure (hurray for motivational scolding and the not-so-motivating encouragement speeches). I broke down and was assigned at another task for the play. But don't be like me! If you really enjoy acting and being on stage, why don't you give theater a try? It is definitely and art worth exploring, and a worthwhile experience
