Game Over ---His world's Sidestory [part 2]

Y...yeah... --- Quartz replied

The two became quiet. They closed their eyes and rested. A balmy breeze blew across the school. Flocks of birds could be seen across the sky, flying at a faster pace than normal. The leaves gently bent and rustled, and the open field that Platina and Quartz that were laying on became quiet. Only the sound of the gently swerving breeze could be heard. Up on the sky, the clouds gathered and eventually darkened. The once clear sky now turned gray. It was the sign of a drizzle coming.

The two, exhausted from running, was oblivious of the weather's turn and fell asleep. Within minutes, water gently fell to the ground, and within moments, the ground was embraced by the drizzle. The two immediately arose, and ran to the school's roofs.

Ack!
It's raining!

The field was quite far from the buildings. Both of them got soaked. The seemingly slow drizzle turned into a long-lasting rain. The two headed to the nurse's office to look for some dry clothes. Unfortunately for them, the room was locked (weekends).

Brrr... man, this sucks ---Said the now chilled Quartz

Aaaaaaahhh, this is the worst time to get stuck, y'know --- Platina replied with a calm face.
It's already past 5, and the rain hasn't stopped. ---she added.

The two stayed at the stairs near the nurse's office. They both had no change of clothes, so they were shivering. The two were seated next to each other, but they sat facing against each other, while pressing their backs at each other so that they could keep warm. Platina's hair was wet, so she tied her hair. Quartz lowered his head (as if he was sulking) and stretched his arms in the air. The two paused to look at each other. Both of them looked like they were eager to talk to one another.

Quartz finally mustered enough courage to talk. He took a deep breath. He smiled and looked at Platina and said:
Hey, Little miss, would you mind if I a...

Unfortunately for him, Platina's attention was somewhere else.

Hey, hey, Quartz! Look! the rain has stopped!

She immediately looked at her phone, and checked the time.

It's quarter to 6! let's go home, Quartz!

Platina was obviously oblivious of what Quartz was about to say.

Disheartened, He shook his head, and then cackled. He smiled, looked at her eyes, and responded to Platina:
Y..yeah, let's go home
