eight years after the calamity

The world was nearly destroyed after a series of calamities which lasted for a year.
During the predicted end of the world, these natural and human-caused disasters have nearly wiped the entire human civilization from the face of the earth. A calamity hit the Earth monthly, each different from the other, and occurs in different areas every time. The first calamity struck during December. An impossible and unpredictable meteor, which divided into 12 different fragments that scattered around the globe, called "The Harbingers" had struck the face of the Earth. The meteorites scorched the areas within a 10 -km radius near the meteorites.

The meteorites were named "Harbingers" for a reason. During January, just after the new year's eve, A month after the Harbinger incident, A large-scale explosion caused by human fault, occurred in Japan's nuclear powerplant, the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant. The reports as to what had occurred in the plant is unknown.

February 2nd, North america and 25 of its states in the south were devastated by a large Hurricane. The tornado had lasted for more than a day, and moved at godly-speeds. It was an unnatural and at the same time, natural, event that truly devastated the country. The Hurricane headed towards the sea during its first 12 hours, and yet it returned to land during the next 5 hours and died down permanently when it returned to sea during its last five hours. It is unknown as to how the Hurricane had occurred and lasted the way it did.

March 3rd, The pacific ring of fire shook the southeastern shores. Volcanic activity had resumed from several undersea vents, and shook those within in. It is to be noted that this was not the real disaster. The chemicals and heat that was dispelled by the water killed nearly half of the marine life, thereby affecting even humans that live in the vicinity.

October ???? , Europe. A strange and powerful EM wave was detected and had destroyed both properties and human lives for a week. These EM waves during the first five days were enough to destroy electronic devices. During the sixth day, an hour before its final day, the EM waves were enough to kill humans. During the final day of the EM scourge, The noble house, Recluse, and several people related to them, had mysteriously vanished.

Earnest's maid, who wields November, had picked up the device from the unruly laboratory where she had landed. She had accidentally stumbled upon the device out of curiosity. She dusted her frilly apron, and fixed her barrette, where November firmly lies, and wandered around the half-devastated lab to find an exit.
