Game Over - part 3 [by: strahl gewehr]

-The next day, at school-
10:30 am, recess time

*achoo*

*sniffle*

Ugh...I'm soooo blaming you for yesterday, Quartz

How was that MY fault? *achoo* princess, you can't deny that you didn't get any too, y'know.

The two were squabbling all morning. The real reason why they were at school the day before was to catch frogs for their biology class. The frogs were to be dissected for the lecture, and then a quiz. They, unfortunately, forgot to catch any during the time they were at school (yesterday). They planned to catch some after they ate lunch, so that they would still have time to eat and study for their biology class.

Quartz and Platina went to the open field at the back of the school. The field was wide and spacious; filled with tall grass, some trees; and a small pond that empties during the summer days. The area was teeming with life, as the leaves were lush, and the insects could be said being as healthy as they can. Different sounds could be heard, including the whispers of the wind to the leaves. The small pond was rather spacious, and was the home to many creatures.

The time was quarter past noon, and so the pond served as a cooling area for most creatures. The path to the pond was slick and grimy, but not polluted. The previous rainfall has severely dampened the soil around the area; however, the dampness attracted frogs that were needed by the two.

*sniffle* Quartz, you're up. --- Platina said with a smiling face

Whaaaa? you ain't coming along? that's no fair Platina! --- Quartz replied

Platina looked at her uniform, then her socks, and then her shoes before she answered Quartz:
Oh, sure, you are SUCH a gentleman Quartz!

Quartz snickered, and said:
Just because you're a girl doesn't mean you can't do most things guys can.

And you're not the only one in uniform here, little miss --- he added

After hearing Quartz, Platina finally agreed to tread the path. They both prepared to catch a frog when sighted. The two took out plastic gloves and a jar to keep the frogs in.

We're almost there, Princess ---said Quartz

Let's do this and quick, we've only got thirty minutes left --- Platina replied

After a few more moments, the two finally reached the pond, however, they both noticed that the edges of the pond was muddier and more slick than the path itself. It seemed like a wrong step may lead to one accidentally falling, and would be covered in mud, or worse, into the pond itself.

wha...whaaa.waaaaaaahhh! Pla---

Quartz, being himself, and a bit clumsy, accidentally slipped while catching a second frog. It was a good thing that Platina was there to grab Quartz's arm. It was, however, that Platina's attempt to try and save Quartz ended up dirtying both of them. While Platina grabbed Quartz, she could not get a sturdy foothold, and the two both ended up sitting in the side of the pond, while their butts are now covered in what once was Platina's foothold.

Aha...ahahaha....ahahhaha! --- Platina laughed with much vigor

Quartz looked at Platina, smiled, and said: I'm sorry! It's all my fault, ahahaha....

Platina looked at the sorry, but happy, face of Quartz. She immediately blushed. She turned her head away from Quartz, rolled her eyes, looked up the sky and spoke:

You know, it's not just your fault. I didn't consider the fact that the ground was slippery, and now, we're both muddy.

Quartz replied: nahhh, it's OK, you shouldn't take all the blame. I fell first anyways.

we got what we needed already. Let's go back, change clothes, and back to the room. --- he added.

hisssssss..... too bad they didn't see any snakes there :D
