It all started on that afternoon. It was 2:00 pm, and most students would go out with their buddies during weekends. This time around, there were two childhood friends. One was Platina and the other was Quartz. The two of them usually worked in a pair, but around that time, they were already done with schoolwork.
At this time, it was mid-February.
Since the two of them were always together, they've developed a competitive spirit against each other when pitted against one another. It didn't matter who won, but it kept their ties stronger each time. However...
On that same day, but before noon, some of the girls were chatting online. Platina was asked:
"What about him? He's been with you for a long time... Don't you think he's perfect for it?"
She blushed, smiled, and happily replied:
"naaah...he's too good to be that"
Meanwhile, Quartz was also in the same situation as Platina. He was also being asked the same kinds of questions, but asked by his pals.

Each time that Platina was asked if she could be "taken away" , she immediately replies this:
"I do not wish to be swayed yet"
And Platina even says it with a cute smile coupled with a giggle after saying the phrase. Each time Quartz saw that, it made his heart quiver. And each time Platina sees Quartz's face, she'd leave Quartz for the rest of the day.
4:00 pm
Quartz is alone with Platina. Both of them were loitering around the nearby school grounds. They were both sweaty and wearing their P.E. uniforms. It was obvious...they were competing once again who can run faster and who has more stamina. In the end, they measured the same, and both knelt down on the grass in the field. Exhausted, they laid down, and closed their eyes in their exhaustion.
*Huff* *huff* *huff*
Hey, got a moment? ---Said Platina
*wheeze*
Shoot ---Quartz replied
Platina moved to the side and turned her back on Quartz and said:
I...um...so...who are you going to the dance with next Friday?
Flustered, Quartz panicked and immediately said: I don't know yet...
Platina faced Quartz once again and shook her head. She put on a smirk, and told Quartz
Well, you'll have to find one soon enough, right?
